In Kirov, city Duma deputies decided to rename seven central streets

Deputies of the Kirov City Duma considered initiatives to rename a number of streets in the central part of the city. The meeting was broadcast online.

On Thursday, December 19, in Kirov, the City Duma considered the issues of returning historical names to five streets and changing the names of two more. For each street the decision was made separately. All seven items on the meeting agenda ended in voting, as a result of which the people's representatives approved the change of names by a majority vote.

Volodarsky Street will become Nikitskaya Street, Uritsky Street – Uspenskaya Street, Rosa Luxemburg Street – Morozovskaya Street, Derendyaev Street – Vsesvyatskaya Street, Karl Marx Street – Vladimirskaya Street, Karl Liebknecht Street – Defenders of the Fatherland Street, and…
