In Kotelnich, the body of a fisherman who stepped onto ice 2 centimeters thick was pulled out of the water.

In the Kirov region, a new death was registered due to access to fragile ice. The circumstances of the tragedy are given in the material of the regional Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia.

According to the department, on the afternoon of Wednesday, November 27, an elderly man fell through the ice in the suburbs of Kotelnich. It is known that the pensioner went out to the surface of the reservoir to fish. However, he did not take into account that the November ice, 2 centimeters thick, cannot support the weight of a person.

Before the eyes of eyewitnesses, the fisherman ended up in the water. They called rescuers. They had to take a boat to the ice hole and rescue the victim from the water. Unfortunately, resuscitation efforts did not help – doctors declared death. An investigation is being carried out into the death of the person.
