The military man shared that on the street or in a public place, he “catches” the eyes of passers-by, because society is not yet used to people with prostheses.
“Azov” fighter Radislav Filko said that he could not find an apartment in Kyiv for about a month. He was refused rent when they found out that the man was a wounded soldier with prosthetic legs.
The fighter told the newspaper “Ukrainian Pravda” about this.
From the first days of the full-scale war, Filko rushed to the front and joined the legendary “Azov”. At the age of 21, the man went through fierce battles and was seriously wounded. So, during one of the combat missions in March 2023, a mine exploded right under Radislav's feet. He lost both legs.
The fighter said that the rehabilitation was difficult, he was tormented by phantom pains. In September 2024, the man received prostheses.
