The KMDA explained that the flag was damaged by a strong wind and they plan to replace it by tomorrow.
The flagpole structure is almost 90 meters high and weighs 32 tons. The size of the flag panel is 16 by 24 meters.
As a reminder, the largest state flag of Ukraine was installed in Kyiv in August 2020 on the territory of the Memorial Complex “National Museum of the History of Ukraine in the Second World War”. The flag is sometimes lowered due to worsening weather conditions or for technical work.
