In Poltava, a man who killed his wife because she allegedly did not feed him dumplings was sentenced to 7 years in prison.
This is stated in the verdict of the Leninsky District Court of Poltava dated November 14, 2024 (the name of the court is not decommunized – ed.).
According to the court, the tragedy occurred in March 2020. The husband attacked his wife in the bedroom and strangled her. After that, he dragged the woman's body to the street and left it there.
A man is in court admitted guilt. He stated that he repents, but “due to his painful mental state, he does not remember anything, but he is ashamed and sorry that his actions deprived a person of his life.”
At the court, the daughter of the murdered woman reported that her mother met the suspect for advertisement in the newspaper.
