At the meeting, the Constitutional Court of Romania “in order to ensure the fairness and legality of the election process” decided to cancel the entire presidential election process, which was carried out on the basis of the government's decision.

The electoral process in Romania will be fully resumed and the government will set a new date for the presidential election. A new calendar program for the actions necessary for holding the 2024 elections will also be established.
