Russia operates a system of torturing prisoners of war, within which “specialists” are trained to conduct torture.
This was reported by the representative of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Andriy Yusov.
A study conducted by UN experts indicates that more than 95% of Ukrainian servicemen released from Russian captivity became victims of torture or other gross violations of international norms, including the Geneva Conventions.
“In most cases, it wasn't about the use of force to get information. It was deliberate torture to break a person's resistance, to break a person's personality, to humiliate him and to force him to give up everything that is valuable to that person. Or to break someone close to him.” – the message says.
