In the Kilmez district, a man owes his own son more than 1.2 million rubles

A resident of the Kirov region became involved in a criminal case due to a child support debt. The regional prosecutor's office shared details.

The investigation established that from October 2023 to March 2024, a 39-year-old resident of the Kilmez district was hiding from paying child support for his 14-year-old son. The court confirmed that the man knew about the obligation and had no valid reasons not to comply with the requirement.

Moreover, the previously guilty father had already been brought to administrative responsibility. A new debt of 20 thousand rubles brought the total amount of debt to 1.2 million rubles. Investigators opened a case. The man appeared in court. He was sentenced to 5 months of correctional labor with the withholding of part of his earnings.
