In the Kirov region, a worker was seriously injured while repairing a conveyor with a crowbar

The State Labor Inspectorate has completed the investigation initiated after an industrial accident. Details of the incident are provided in a press release from the supervisory agency.

Reportedly, on October 19, at one of the enterprises in the Kirov region, the operator of a lumber processing line tried to independently repair an equipment breakdown: his multi-level chain conveyor stopped due to debris from boards getting inside.

A 58-year-old man took a crowbar and inserted it into the chain, then pulled it towards himself. However, the crowbar slipped out of a chain link, causing a violent fall. The victim collapsed to the floor, hit his head hard on the concrete and lost consciousness. The hospital diagnosed him with a severe head injury.
