In the Kirov region, the repair of a strategically important bridge across the Vyatka River has been completed

The repair of the bridge over the Vyatka River in the Sovetsky district has been completed. This was reported in the press service of the regional Ministry of Transport.

As it became known, at the end of 2024, specialists completed work on a 609-meter bridge across the Vyatka River on the regional highway Kirov – Sovetsk – Yaransk in the Sovetsky district. The facility is of strategic importance: it opens the way to neighboring regions and connects the southern municipalities with the regional center.

The bridge was put into operation in 1990, but for 34 years it has never undergone major repairs. In 2023, inspectors noticed a violation of the waterproofing and the resulting cracks and unevenness – the destruction of concrete began.
