A 43-year-old man killed his 64-year-old mother during a family conflict in Obukhiv district of Kyiv region.
This was reported by the press service of the Kyiv region police.
The tragedy happened in the village of Leonivka, when after a quarrel with the mother, the man grabbed an ax and hit the woman on the head several times. She died on the spot from her injuries. The police received a message from the suspect, who himself confessed to the crime. Law enforcement officers found the victim's body at the scene.
The police informed the man that he was suspected of premeditated murder, punishable by up to 15 years in prison. The investigation is ongoing.
