According to the prosecutor's office, on November 22, 2024, the occupiers launched an attack on the position of the Armed Forces, located near the village of Petrivka, Pokrovsky district. During the enemy assault, four Ukrainian defenders were forced to surrender. Immediately after that, the occupiers shot them with machine guns.
“The intentional killing of prisoners of war is a gross violation of the Geneva Conventions and is classified as a serious international crime. Currently, investigative actions are underway to establish all the circumstances of the crime and the persons involved in its commission,” the prosecutor's office said.
