Ukrzaliznytsia reported that the electric train was blocked on the stretch due to a rockfall and a change in traffic on this section.
“Changes in the movement of trains on the Syanki – Mukachevo section in Transcarpathia. Due to the fall of stones from the mountain, the electric train is blocked on the stretch. Previously, two wheel pairs derailed,” the press service of Ukrzaliznytsia said in a statement.
It is noted that the speed of the train was below the permitted speed, so there were no injuries. All passengers are transported to their destinations by road.
UZ reported that to minimize delays, train No. 59 Kyiv – Chop will be sent to bypass this section.
