In Transcarpathia, two border guards fled abroad while on duty — Ukraine

In Transcarpathia, two border guards who were supposed to catch evaders illegally fled to a neighboring country.

In Transcarpathia, two border guards escaped to the territory of a neighboring country during their service and did not return. The court fined the inspector for this, who was supposed to monitor their whereabouts via walkie-talkie.

This is stated in the decision of the Rakhiv district court.

The incident happened on September 27, but it became known only now.

The border was patrolled by two soldiers of the DPSU – residents of the Sumy region. The DPSU inspector had to contact the border patrol every 30 minutes. However, he missed the control time and two of his colleagues took advantage of this to escape abroad. The inspector made notes about the contact with the patrol in the workbook of the border squad, although in reality there was no contact.

The accused did not appear in court…
