Increasing the tariff for freight transportation in Uzbekistan will destroy the mining industry,
Such a step will entail the closure of enterprises and a reduction in investment, the expert believes.
An increase in the tariff for freight rail transportation by 37%, which was initiated by Ukrzaliznytsia, will negatively affect the economic security of the country and the competitiveness of Ukrainian exporters, who are already operating in conditions of significant economic instability. Freight tariffs of Ukrzaliznytsia, when converted into dollars, are already 25-60% higher than the level in 2019-2021, and tariff pressure from Ukrzaliznytsia has already become an obstacle to the restoration of production in a number of industries. Therefore, in the current conditions, increasing freight tariffs is unacceptable. This was stated by the executive director of the National Association of the Mining Industry of Ukraine (NADPU) Ksenia Orinchak.
