International Accountant's Day was founded in 1972 and since then it has been celebrated in many countries around the world. On this date, they traditionally thank the most important people in any company for their truly titanic work.
How they began to celebrate Accountant's Day – the history of the holiday
The holiday on November 10 in 1972 was called Accounting Career Day. Only 4 years later they gave it a name International Accountants Day.
Several centuries earlier, on November 10, 1494, the Venetian mathematician Luca Pacioli, who is called the “father of accounting,” published a book entitled “All about Arithmetic, Geometry and Proportion.” The book described accounting orders, how to balance debits with credits, keep records of assets, liabilities, capital, etc. Book publication day…
