Investigators commented on the deadly fire in the Kiknursky district on December 12

The Investigative Committee of Russia responded to a fire that claimed the life of a person in the Kiknursky district. The details were shared by the press service of the regional investigative department of the agency.

As it became known, a 72-year-old man lived in an apartment destroyed by fire in the village of Kiknur. The neighbors were the first to know about the fire. They called firefighters to the scene. While extinguishing the fire, they discovered the body of a pensioner. Investigators cited careless handling of fire while smoking as a possible cause of the fire.

Investigators of the Yaran interdistrict investigative department of the Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of the Investigative Committee for the Kirov Region are carrying out the necessary verification activities aimed at establishing all the circumstances of the incident, the department said.
