Iran was preparing an assassination attempt on Trump: the US Ministry of Justice disclosed the details
US Attorney General Merrick Garland said the case involved a “criminal network” that was supposed to help Iran carry out its plot to kill several people on US soil.
The US government has indicted an Iranian national in connection with an alleged plot to assassinate Donald Trump before the presidential election. Together with him, two Americans, recruited by him to carry out assassinations, are in the case.

On Friday, Nov. 8, the Justice Department released an indictment against 51-year-old Farhad Shakeri, alleging that he was tasked with “planning” to kill Trump. At the same time Shakeri was not arrested. He was deported from the US in 2008 and is believed to be in Iran.
