Russian railways are introducing new rules aimed at ensuring the safety and comfort of passengers.

On trains with reserved seat and compartment carriages, flexible time slots are being introduced for the use of lower berths. From 7:00 to 10:00 and from 19:00 to 21:00, passengers can take lower seats for meals in the morning and evening. From 12:00 to 15:00 there is a “lunch break”, during which passengers in the upper bunks can use tables in the lower seats.

These changes take into account the needs of passengers in the upper bunks, who previously experienced inconvenience when eating.
