“It was an honor for me”: Usyk spoke about raising Mazepa's saber in the ring after defeating Fury
The Ukrainian champion symbolically celebrated the defense of the championship belts.
WBC, WBO, WBA and IBO heavyweight world champion Oleksandr Usyk told how after victory over Tyson Fury in a rematch raised in the ring the original saber of Hetman Ivan Mazepa.
According to the Ukrainian boxer, it was an honor for him.

“The real saber of the outstanding Ukrainian hetman Ivan Mazepa. It was an honor for me to hold in my hands a unique artifact that is more than 300 years old.
For centuries, Russia has slandered the name of Hetman Mazepa. Now it is returning to the global media space and will receive the recognition it deserves. Everything is just beginning!” Usyk wrote on his Instagram, posting a photo with Mazepa's saber.
