Roman Vilfand, head of the Russian Hydrometeorological Center, reported a long-term climate phenomenon that will begin on December 14 and will last about two weeks. After this, a new weather period will begin.
Changes in weather will affect the regions of the Urals and a significant part of the country. Warming is expected to peak by midweek. In Yekaterinburg the temperature will drop to minus 5 degrees, and in Chelyabinsk it will rise to minus 2 degrees.
The period of comfortable weather for December will last two weeks, after which severe frosts will begin. The temperature will drop to minus 29 degrees during the day and minus 33-35 degrees at night.
