The head of the Hydrometeorological Center of Russia shared his forecast for the coming period.
Roman Vilfand, head of the Russian Hydrometeorological Center, announced the beginning of a long-term climate phenomenon that will begin on December 15 and will last about two weeks. After this, a new weather stage will begin.
Changes in weather will affect the regions of the Urals and a significant part of the country. Significant warming is expected, peaking by midweek. In Yekaterinburg the temperature will drop to -5 degrees, and in Chelyabinsk it will rise to -2 degrees.
The period of relatively comfortable weather for December will last two weeks, after which severe frosts will set in. Temperatures will drop to -29 degrees during the day and -33-35 degrees at night.
