The first working week of 2025 will be the shortest for Russians, lasting only two days – January 9 and 10. This was reported to RIA Novosti by Marina Lopatina, an expert at the Institute of Social Analysis and Forecasting of RANEPA.

After the New Year holidays, the first working week will be shortened – only two working days. The return to work is scheduled for Thursday, January 9,” Lopatina noted.

The Russian government has approved holidays for the period from January 1 to January 8. In addition, the day off from December 28 was moved to December 30, and the holiday on December 31 became possible thanks to the postponement of the day off from January 7, 2024, which fell on Sunday. Thus, the New Year holidays will last 11 days. This was reported by the news portal progorodsamara.ru.
