Journalists are hinting that something big awaits us at The Game Awards this year
The editors of two major publications called for “dispersal of the hype.”
The Game Awards, or as they call it the video game Oscars, have always stood out for their scale and scope. But it looks like she'll outdo herself this year as the TGA celebrates its 10th anniversary.
The editor of the major British gaming publication VGC, Andy Robinson, said on his social networks that he expects a lot from The Game Awards 2024, and urged readers to “disperse the hype” at the ceremony:
“I'm looking forward to a VERY big The Game Awards next week. Let's launch a hype train.”
Another well-known editor, Tom Warren of The Verge, tersely echoed his colleague's expectations: “Same thing.”
