In her post on the social network X (Twitter), Kallas called the overthrow of the Assad dictatorship “a positive and long-awaited event”, which shows the weakness of Assad's supporters – Russia and Iran.
“Our priority is to ensure security in the region. I will work with all constructive partners in Syria and in the region,” the head of EU diplomacy wrote.
It will be recalled that French President Emmanuel Macron previously commented on the fall of Bashad Assad's regime, saying that “the barbarian state has fallen.”
