Kazakh judoka Meyirlan Maxim was defeated in the battle for third place at the series tournament Grand Slam in Tokyo (Japan)Sports.kz reports with reference to Olympic.kz.
He fought for third place in the weight category up to 90 kilograms. He was opposed by Komei Kawabata from Japan.
Meirlan almost immediately earned a point with an effective technique.
However, less than a minute before the end of the fight, Komei achieved an early victory – the Japanese successfully made a hold.
