Kazakhstani tennis player Denis Evseev (246th place in the ranking ATP) successfully started the tournament in Hong Kongreports Sports.kz.
In the qualifying semi-finals, Evseev met with Chilean Christian Garin (152nd place) and sensationally defeated him in three sets – 6:2, 2:6, 6:2. Garin was considered the favorite in this confrontation. Now Denis will compete for access to the main draw of the tournament with Italian tennis player Francesco Passaro (104th place).
The prize fund for the Hong Kong tournament is $766,290. The winner of the competition will earn $103,455 and also receive 250 ranking points.
