“By scoring two goals in six seconds, the Czechs tied the record for the second fastest pair of goals scored by one team in the history of the World Junior Championships,” writes the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) Instagram.
The Czech national team opened the scoring in the match with Kazakhstan in the 6th minute (5:45), and then immediately scored the second goal (5:51). As for the outcome of the game, the Czechs won with a score of 14:2. For the Kazakhstan national team, this is the second major defeat in a row at the tournament: the team started at the 2025 World Cup with a defeat from the Swedish national team with a score of 1:8.
