Kazakhstani Artem Antropov won a gold medal World Weightlifting Championships V Manama (Bahrain), reports Sports.kz with reference to Olympic.kz.
The weightlifter finished first in the weight category up to 102 kilograms.
In the snatch, Antropov showed 170 kilograms. In the clean and jerk he managed 230 kilograms. In total, Artem lifted 400 kilograms.
Second place went to Ibrahim Fares Elbah (Qatar) – 399 (174+225) kilograms. Marcos Ruiz Velasco from Spain came third with 395 (183+212) kilograms.
Let us note that the Kazakhstan team now has three medals. Earlier, Alexey Churkin won silver in the weight category up to 81 kilograms, and Nurgisa Adiletuly (up to 96 kilograms) became the winner of the World Championship.
