Kirov residents will see a beautiful full moon on the night of December 15-16

On the night of December 15-16, the full Moon will be very high above the horizon. This was reported in the “Amateur Astronomy in Kirov” community.

Every 18-19 years the Moon reaches its maximum deviation, providing high visibility in winter. Kirov residents will be able to observe an unusual phenomenon very soon:

The full Moon will rise on December 15 at 13:35 and set on December 16 at 09:31, providing visibility for 19 hours and 56 minutes. In addition, a unique situation will arise: it will be possible to see the Sun and the full Moon at the same time. This is possible due to the fact that the Sun will set below the horizon on December 15 at 14:47. The best viewing conditions will be at 14:15, when the Sun and Moon will be 2° above the horizon.
