Kuzma Scriabin – Svetlana Babiychuk became a victim of fraud – UNIAN
Svetlana Babiychuk was deceived by a popular label, using the rights to the work of singer Kuzma Scriabin.
The widow of the late singer Kuzma Scriabin (Andrey Kuzmenko) was defrauded of 1.5 million hryvnia. The National Police uncovered a criminal scheme that was used to carry out the scam.
According to the press service of the National Police, investigators announced suspicion to the director of a music label who defrauded the widow of a famous Ukrainian singer out of 1.5 million hryvnia.
After the artist’s death, his wife became the owner of the rights to all his improvements and entered into an agreement with the label. The label director used a criminal scheme to profit from the celebrity's legacy.
