Kyiv law enforcement officers refuted the false information that spread on the Internet after the appearance of a video about men who presented themselves as former soldiers of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and begged near a shopping center in the Darnytskyi district.
Details were reported by the Kyiv police.
During the inspection, it became clear that the two men appearing in the video have nothing to do with the Defense Forces of Ukraine. One of them is a 39-year-old from Kyiv, the other is a 34-year-old native of Kherson. Both were previously prosecuted for theft and drug crimes. In the video, they complained about the lack of payments and claimed that they were forced to beg for alms due to a dead end.
