French President Emmanuel Macron will meet with Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk in Warsaw to discuss the deployment of post-war peacekeeping forces in Ukraine. An EU diplomat and French official reported this to Politico.
“It's true,” a European diplomat said when asked about a report in the Polish newspaper Rzeczpospolita that the two countries were discussing a potential 40,000-strong peacekeeping mission made up of troops from other countries. However, he did not say from which countries soldiers could be brought in.
At the same time, the Polish official stressed that the allies were surprised by Macron's proposal.
