Maxim Zhorin, deputy commander of the 3rd separate assault brigade, said this in an interview with NV.

“I won't reveal the secret that on the fortifications, on which all regions were tasked to concentrate from the very top, I think half of the funds were stolen so precisely, looking at the pitiful things that were built,” he says.

“An infantryman, every time he is knocked out, erasing his positions, goes away and digs himself. And now it's still winter, digging is generally hell, and you have to do all this under fire,” Zhorin noted.
