May lose payments: how Ukrainians will be credited with work experience abroad
Amendments to the law allow taking into account the insurance experience gained abroad, except in Russia.
Employment outside the country is also included in the insurance experience for citizens of Ukraine to receive a pension.
However, the Law of Ukraine “On Amendments to Certain Laws of Ukraine Regarding the Regulation of the Calculation of Insurance Experience and Pension Provision” provides for certain exceptions, writes “Focus”.
In particular, the law stipulates that periods of work outside Ukraine are included in the insurance record of persons living in Ukraine, if this is provided for by the law or international treaties of Ukraine. If there is no exchange of information between the pension authorities of the two states, the person must inform the authorities of the Pension Fund of Ukraine about this in a corresponding statement.
