Mini-sculpture to Nikolai Leontovich in Uzhgorod

The bronze sculpture of Nikolai Leontovich is already the 73rd in the city.

Uzhgorod is famous for its bronze mini-sculptures installed throughout the city. At the beginning of December, another one appeared there, already the 73rd in a row.

So, the other day, a mini-sculpture in honor of the Ukrainian composer Nikolai Leontovych, the author of the world famous “Shchedryk,” appeared on the wall of the medical faculty of Uzhgorod National University.

In addition to the figurine of Leontovich himself, the sculptural composition contains three birds – forest birds and a swallow, which are mentioned in the song. Meanwhile, the bell symbolizes the name Carol of the Bells, by which the work is known throughout the world.
