Ukrainians who have legal grounds for a deferment from mobilization can still receive summonses by mail while martial law and general mobilization continue, explained lawyer Dmitry Donchak. He considered a situation where a man had a deferment due to studying at a university and he extended it in the Reserve+ application until February 7, 2025, but he still received a summons by mail.
“Perhaps this is really a letter from the TCC. Maybe there really is a summons. But you have no reason to worry about this: the man has a legal deferment, he is not subject to mobilization,” Donchak said on the B2B Consult portal.
