According to Shulyak, in Ukraine, convicts themselves decide whether to join the army.
In Ukraine, after the adoption of the law on the mobilization of prisoners, thousands of convicts expressed a desire to join the Defense Forces. Unlike the Russian Federation, in our country such people decide for themselves whether to join the army.
