Every year, the number of international postal shipments to Ukraine increases by 50%. Most of them (62.2%) come from popular Chinese marketplaces: AliExpress, Cainiao, Temu, Yanwen, Taobao.

This was reported by Interfax with reference to an analytical report published by the Institute of Socio-Economic Transformation (ISET).

Since a significant number of such shipments have a value of less than 150 euros, they are subject to tax relief. Because of this, according to analysts' calculations, the losses of the budget of Ukraine in 2024 amounted to UAH 11.8 billion.

Currently, Ukrainian legislation does not levy taxes on parcels for personal use worth up to 150 euros. Under such conditions, one person, if he receives only one postal shipment per day, can import tax-free goods in the amount of up to 4.5 thousand per month. euros, calculated in ISET.
