Murder of Farion – a street will appear in Lviv in honor of the linguist – UNIAN
Tekhnicheskaya Street will be renamed in honor of the linguist.
In Lviv, Tekhnicheskaya Street will be renamed in honor of the murdered linguist Irina Farion. The corresponding decision was made today during the session by deputies of the Lviv City Council.
The idea of renaming the street in Farion's honor appeared almost immediately after her murder. The city council said that they would decide together with the linguist’s family which street would be named after her.
“From today we have a street named after Irina Farion. This is Tekhnicheskaya Street, which comes out from S. Bandera Street, connects the space of the Lviv Polytechnic campus, where Irina Dmitrievna worked, and goes out to I. Franko Park and the space of the National University named after I.
