In the foreseeable future, the Central Bank of the Russian Federation plans to implement the digital ruble. This process can take five to seven years.

The introduction of the digital ruble can lead to its widespread use, which will simplify the settlement procedure and increase the level of control over financial transactions.

Before starting to implement the digital ruble, the regulator plans to consult with experts and representatives of the business community in order to prevent possible problems and ensure a smooth transition to the new system.
