This is because these drinks can impair the body's absorption of iron. This warning was made by nutritionist Lisa Afinskaya in her Telegram channel.

It is recommended to drink a cup of your favorite drink an hour before a meal, or two hours after. If you want to wash down your food, it is better to use regular drinking water. If you have iron deficiency, drinks can be included in your diet two to three hours after eating.

“Water also supports healthy bowel function,” added Lisa of Athens.

When hemoglobin production decreases, the functioning of the immune system and heart deteriorates. The habit of drinking food can cause oxygen starvation of heart muscle cells, the expert warned.
