On the eve of the holidays, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) showed a unique star cluster that surprisingly resembles an elegant Christmas tree decorated with hundreds of lights. It is located approximately 2500 light years from Earth.
The cluster consists of stars whose age does not exceed five million years. By the way, in comparison with the Sun, which is about five billion years old, they are considered very young space objects.
NASA managed to remove the cosmic “Christmas tree” using the observatory devices located in Alabama. In addition, scientists used images taken from the telescope of an astrophotographer living in Arizona….
