NATO is waiting for Trump's inauguration to discuss Ukraine's invitation,
According to the diplomatic department official, the Alliance will discuss the terms of the invitation after Trump comes to power.
Western allies are awaiting the inauguration of US President-elect Donald Trump, in order to build on this in matters of inviting Ukraine to NATO.
Latvian Foreign Minister Baiba Braze stated this in Brussels, Sky News reports. According to her, this is an aspect that is talked about or kept silent in the Alliance, but “it is reality.”
“In general, we – as political leaders – agreed that Ukraine will be a member of NATO. The question is what conditions, when, and, obviously, this is where the Alliance should unite.
