NATO troops in Ukraine – what they say in Italy – UNIAN
This statement was made by the country's Ministry of Defense.
Italian Defense Minister Guido Crosetto announced his readiness to send his troops to Ukraine if the agreement to end the war provides for the creation of a controlled demarcation line.
As reported by the Italian news agency Ansa, the minister expressed hope for an early “conversation about peace and peacemaking” in Ukraine, emphasizing Italy’s readiness to play a role in this.
At the same time, Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Italy, Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani calls such a discussion premature, since Kyiv and Moscow are still far from sitting down at the negotiating table. According to him, a just world must first be achieved.
