Ukrainian scientists who are located in the interisland Scotia Sea, in the southern part of the Atlantic Ocean, have shown an unusual phenomenon that altocumulus clouds create at sunset.
A video showing the incredible sunset was released by the National Antarctic Science Center.
The phenomenon was filmed by meteorologist Anzhelika Ganchuk on board the Ukrainian icebreaker Noosphere. According to her, this magic of nature is created by altocumulus clouds (Altocumulus), which resemble “scales” or undulating fields that enhance the impression of movement and depth at sunset.
