Near Vugledar, the occupiers shot five Ukrainian prisoners of war
The killing of prisoners of war is a gross violation of the Geneva Conventions.
Russian occupiers shot five unarmed Ukrainian defenders who surrendered during the assault near Vugledar in the Donetsk region. The war crime was committed on October 5.
This was reported in the press service of the Prosecutor General's Office.
The report specified that one of the Ukrainian prisoners of war was shot by the occupiers in a forest strip. Four others were taken out into the street at automatic weapons fire, where they were also executed.
