The ambassador believes that Ukraine should not rely on the leaders of other countries to achieve peace.
Some countries of the world are interested in the role of mediators in possible negotiations between Ukraine and Russia. However, many leaders are still waiting to see what new US President Donald Trump will do.
Ukrainian Ambassador to Brazil Andrey Melnik spoke about this in an interview with Radio Liberty.
He shared that at a bilateral meeting, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Brazilian leader Lula da Silva could discuss Ankara's plan to end the war in Ukraine. However, they are likely to lean more towards the Chinese-Brazilian plan, which was discussed in New York on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in September.
