Next year could be the year the war in Ukraine ends, as both sides are close to exhaustion and each's allies would prefer to see the fighting stop.
Christopher Lockwood, European editor of The Economist, wrote about this. The columnist noted that this issue will become a priority for the new Donald Trump administration.
Lockwood noted that the previously allocated $61 billion aid package to Ukraine will be exhausted in 2025, although Trump is likely to freeze it before then. “Cash is not the only problem.
