Two damage to Internet cables was recorded on Finnish territory, and the authorities suspect sabotage.
In Finland, on the night of December 2, two breaks in fiber optic cables were discovered, due to which there were interruptions in communication between Sweden and Finland.
This was reported by the Swedish television SVT and the Finnish publication Helsingin Sanomat.
After Internet cables were found to be broken in Finland, the police launched an investigation into possible sabotage. The Global Connect company, which owns the networks, is also involved in the investigation.
These accidents occurred on land, unlike the previous incident at sea. One of the damaged lines has already been repaired, and the necessary equipment is not yet available for the second.
